Thanks all.Strangely DOF is one of the reasons why I am planning on dslr soon.While the G5 takes these kind of pics,the working distance to achieve this is ridiculous.I had to park my car,cross the street 8m wide,step into the field and hold the camera against these weeds a good 15 cm close to them.Now while I was doing that I was dreaming of sitting in my car with a 70-200 IS tele and achieving pretty much the same:-)...now you guys also made it difficult for me to fight my case for a new DSLR with my wife ;-)
well, this is a very lovely shot with a great composition.
What Lou Giroud said concerning DOF, well he is right. It's a very
good Point & Shot camera with which you can archive that DOF!

I am wondering how good the G5 comes close to a dslr camera when in concerns dof.
Most of this small chip boxes have such a wide field-deepth that such pictures are allmost impossible.
Good shot, maybe a bit hard in sharpness. A bit softer would make it nicer to my opinion.
Wheed is by itself somewhat hard and sharp on it's edges and the picture gives this back in a good way.
