15 AUG 04 STORMY BACK BAY

After the storms yesterday I expected clear skies and interesting shooting in The Back Bay Presserve

Well . . sort of . . the skies remained heavily overcast & occasionally it rained again
Lotsa bugs and a few snakes (jumped outa my skin at least once)

Don't know who was more scared . . me or the snake
But we both disappeared rapidly in opposite directions

This is a terrific shot! I love the mood created by the weather and the sky. The birds in flight are fab. Hey, why are you posting so small??

looks like fun! I had an encounter with a snake today too, well my car tire did. I was too late to swerve, but I went back to see if it was a Rattle snake but it still slithered away even getting ran over.

Pete...I fell in love with birds as a lifetime hobby/pursuit at Back Bay; I used to go there in the winter to see the flocks of snow geese and loved the summer heat out there...oh, thank you so much for this look at a place I love...totally gorgeous..
