This is superb!!! What an unusual and creative shot! It is amazing how you have captured the slimy nature of the slug, you even have it translucent (you can see the guts). Bravo!

An amazing image, Sean. There's an old saying in photojournalism that sums up the essence of a news photographer's craft: "f/8 and be there!" It is if somehow you have magically gone back to the dawn of time to photograph the arrival of the first creature to emerge from the sea and make its home on land! "Be There" indeed!
