After the Storm
We had severe storms in Colorado Springs today. Unfortunately, I was not able to get to a location to shoot this as a landscape. It is more of a snapshot outside Starbucks! The clouds were pretty amazing. We had several tornados and softball sized hail in the area. Yikes!

Awesome pic! Severe weather is fascinating as well as dangerous. The pic you took is of mammatus clouds that form from instability in the atmosphere. Great shot again!

Not a scenic landscape but it works very well as it is. The structures give one some scale and they're dark so no distracting busy detail. The exposure is very good for that and giving the clouds great color and shadow. Very nice.

Outstanding capture! I'm glad the storms were down your way instead of here in Boulder!!

Terribly beautiful! If you didn't already know, these are called mammatus clouds, and are a classic feature of severe thunderstorms.
