MANCHESTER AIRPORT

The storms covering the country are still around. This shot was taken as a bit of sun broke through, the rainbow is genuine and not an effect from PS. Unfortunately the shot is let down a bit, by the overly white aircraft in the sun. I have darkened them a little in PSP, but the glare is refusing to be eradicated. Not a great picture, but nicely representative of the weather at the moment.

The entire rainbow was visible, with both ends touching ground inside the airport.

All comments are welcome.

That rainbow is amazing. The thumbnail drew me right in.

The vogue for painting airctaft a money-saving white does cause problems for us photographers. Not only with the light, but also with auto focussing in flight as there is virtually no contrast to lock on to.
But I still enjoy this photo despite that. Would have made a fine 'Out of Reach' in the recent '26 Things'!
