Turkey Vulture Edited

This was a challenge. I suspect that it is a small crop from a much larger picture, probably taken at a high ISO because there is so much visible noise. It also looks like it was heavily sharpened because of the white halo around the breast side of the bird. First I noise reduced the image with the Neat Image Pro plug-in for Photoshop. Next I selected certain areas that had chromatic aberration (so-called purple fringing, although in the case of this picture the fringing was red and magenta) and desaturated those colors. Next, instead of re-sharpening the entire image I just used the sharpen tool over the feathers and head. I used the blur tool to tone down the white halo, which I couldn't fix with Focal Blade (Expert mode, white halo fix) and also the fuzziness on the rock. Ended with painting a bit of yellow at 20% opacity over the iris of the eye because it was rather colorless. Note: With such severe noise reduction, detail is lost. It's hard to judge how much noise you should leave in order to retain detail. Click on next to see what I got with Noise Ninja...clearly I oversmoothed the Neat Image job!
