Very nice in every respect! Trying to be critical (*), all I can think of is that her eyes are almost in the middle of the frame - not sure that matters though. Great shot - be proud! --Olaf

I know what you mean, TomasC(x). I didn't even notice the blown highlights until I'd looked at the picture a couple of times. I think there are a couple of answers. First, it is the background that is blown, so so what? It should be blurry anyway, and as long as it's blurry, who cares about detail lost by being blown out? Also, it is located in an inconspicuous part of the picture. Plus, you're busy looking at the rest of the picture. But also, look at the lighting of the picture in general. To my eye, the subject is lit by reflected light originally coming from a space outside of where the subject is. So we expect for there to be bright light somewhere apart from the subject. Well, that was clear as mud, wasn't it? -- Victor
I have the same feeling as Victor, really deaply pleasant. I'd like to ask the others about the highlight in the top righthand corner - I have some shots that suffer very much from such highlights, how come it doesn't bother me much on this one? :-)
Congratulations, TomasC(x)

What a beautiful portrait. It makes me feel like I'm a personal friend of the girl. I suppose that's mostly because of the perspective. -- Victor
