Joop in Norway 9

This is her. My girl. Nelly!
I still dream of her, my holiday romance. It was love at first sight.
My humans parked our camper in Roldal. Nice spot, close to a pretty lake.
OK, I jumped out, drank some water, looked around, and... then I saw her!
There were two tents not far from us. Humans were sitting at a table. With them was Nelly.
She was light brown, curly, a real looker. Lovely nose, great tail.
Oh boy, my heart began to beat faster. She saw me too! We both froze for a few seconds.
Then we both ran. Our humans called out, but they let us go. They saw this was stronger than them.
Nelly was quick, young, and she had a great smell. We jumped and sniffed. I felt good!
She was quite a paw full. We played till we got tired. Then I let her drink from my bowl.
And she shared her dinner with me. So I shared mine with her. I`ve never done that before....
Nelly was German, she came from Hamburg, and she was on a Norwegian vacation just like me.
What more can I say. We were in love. The next morning we played again.
Our humans got to know each other too. They traded cookies and dog treats.
Then we had to move on. That was bad, I felt a big pain when we left.
But the rest of our trip every now and then I got a strange cookie... from Nelly!
I still miss her...
