This is a view of a different lake than the one in the middle of the valley.
It is inside the fortified area.

For a rough indication of the scale of the view,
the tombstone-shaped wall caps have peep holes
approximately at (standing) eye level, the whole way down to the lake
(and around to the other side and back up the hill again).
