Joop's Dog Log - Saturday July 24

Joop in Norway #04

Told you so: Vikings are dog lovers.
They may have strict rules for dogs and they may often seem a bit shy,
but they sure love to hug a dog. What you see here happened everywhere I went.
I was a real love magnet, for young humans and older ones too.
Humans in the streets stopped to ask my humans what kind of dog I was.
And then the hugging began...
For some reason most Norwegian dogs are brown, blonde or black..
Maybe they don`t want too much white fur on their doggies
because they fear they will lose them in the Winter snow,
Norwegians are good at worrying about stuff.
Anyway: black & white dogs are rare in Norway. So I stood out.
There were moments I felt like an African on the North Pole.
You see me here with Lene and Anna in Egersund, a boy in Odda,
three boys in Stavanger and a guy with two ladies in Flam. I forgot to ask names.
Of course I was friendly to all of them. Hey, I was a guest in their country..!

Joop, you're a STAND-OUT everywhere you go!

I love to see images like this, showing those human feelings and reactions that bind us all together, no matter where we live.
