There were tons of these flowers above the pass and
just prior to Dorothy Lake. It's a strange contrast-
these delicate and colorful flowers in the rugged
country. The heads always face east - away from prevailing wind.
Called Old Man of the Mountain or Alpine Sunflower Rydbergia
Rydbergia grandiflora - Aster Family
