As for your question about the camera, as it happens many times, the simplest camera gives the most pleasant results. The Ricoh 35ZF is a cute little inexpensive point & shoot. The light glow seen here is quite common to Tessar type lenses (a relatively old and simple lens design which I think the Ricoh has) when shot against the sun.
Luck also plays a role :)
I know that the photograper, not the camera, makes the difference between a good and bad shot, but to what extent to you think the RICOH 35 ZF contributes to the smooth luminous appearrance of your photos taken with that camera? Is that camera worth getting?
