Today I heard that my good friend and neighbor, who has been battling lung cancer, found out that her tumor had reappeared. She has gone through both Radiation and Chemotherapy treatments. The tumor had shrunk to zero after the radiation treatment and she was on medication to prevent a regrowth. It didn't work, and she and her husband have opted out of further treatment.

I got these flowers for her at the Farmers Market today, thinking maybe a bit of color would help her spirits.
