Currently we are doing some research about Tuan Haji Abdullah Muda, from Pulau
Duyong, K.Terengganu.- conferment to Hj. Abdullah bin Muda Workmanship in Boat Making - Honarary Doctorate of Heritage Skills.
Few methodologies had been suggested in as to establish the framework to evaluate his workmanship such as :
(i) Based on his own portfolio which is currently being developed by a team from GIATMARA.
(ii)Testimonial from ship owners.
(iii)Information from the ship owners on the refitting report.
This framework will finally determine level of conferment to Hj Abdullah and will be endorsed by professional panels appointed by UniKL later. The conferment ceremony will be held in conjunction with the UniKL convocation ceremony in October 2009.
I was informed that in 1997, Tuan Haji Abdullah built a boat for Mr Warren Blake. called Four Friends.
If you dont mind, can Mr Blake be our testimony in order to collect the information?
