River Sunrise

New Orleans

This morning's sunrise was beautiful. I wish I had time to play with this a little, but here it is uncropped and all. The river is so busy, but I've been in my room only to sleep and change clothes. My husband tells me "Wow, did you miss some wonderful shots!" His favorite so far has been an old sub being shepherded by a tug with a fireboat spraying water in the background. I'm sure I was in some meeting somewhere.
This is some of the curves of the Mississippi that surround the city of New Orleans.

Excellent perspective, in a word "wow".

Like everything about this. How cool is the river bending like that?

Amazing picture.

I hardly ever get up for a sunrise..well, never would be more accurate, so thanks for the look-see. Also, I stay at the Dauphine Orleans and it's not a high rise, so I wouldn't get to see this from there; thanks a second time. I want to go to New Orleans IMMEDIATELY!!

This is a wonderful capture. I love the warm light in this shot, especially on the river. Nice.

He's decided the same thing. Now we need another camera!

Wonderful shot of the river, the barge and the morning.
I'm laughing at the fact you have your husband so well trained that he has an eye for "shots" for you. Maybe he should join Pbase, too?

Beautiful shot Gayle, how great the city looks at sunrise from above.

Beautiful photo. That barge and detail in the river really makes the image.

My favorite city! Thank you for a beautiful reminder.

Beautiful Gayle. It's sad when you attend a
convention at some really cool place you end
up spending all your time in meetings. Hopefully
you'll get some time for yourself.

What a wonderful evocation of time and place. This is beautiful, Gayle. From the thumb it looks quite Monetlike.

The Crescent City never looked more beautiful than in this sunrise.
