Built in 1767, this temple is dedicated to Tin Hau, Goddess of the Sea and protector of fisher-folk. It was said that when Japanese bombed Stanley in World War II, the Goddess had worked a miracle to protect villagers hiding inside, thus a bomb fell neary did not explode. There exhibits also the skin of a tiger, which was claimed to have been shot by local police in 1942.
