Raindrops on the Patio

Montz, Lousiana

I am so tired of rain. We're more than 15 inches ahead of normal for the year. Each morning starts with brilliant sunshine and unbearable heat, and each evening with horrendous thunderstorms. I tried several photos yesterday. The daylilies were shredded. The ibis and egrets wouldn't stay to play. So, here's a view of my back patio, seen through the rain.

Such a shame for your plants. Nevermind, you have the compensation of living in Louisiana - the one place in the world I really, really want to visit... ;-)

Nicely captured and captioned. I feel your frustration.

Conveyed the humidity and your frustrations. Hey, it could be snow. Well, maybe not in LA.

That great shot scared away the rain today!

I think Robin Reid said it the best, so all I can say is I feel you pain. The photo is great Gayle.

This is a wonderful shot!

I'm smiling, because you manager to convey your sense of being cooped up and "suffering" from the rain by the sharp focus on the glass with the rest of the world out beyond out of focus.

Very nice Gayle ... I like how each rain drop becomes its own little lens!

Very nice moody image Gayle. Effectively portrays the feeling of boredom from being stuck inside. You guys are getting pounded down there!

Love it! Look how different it looks in the thumb. It takes on a whole new attitude when seen full size.
