This is the Lake Palace of Udaipur. It was built in the 17th century by the ruler of Udaipur (Maharana; 1628-1654) on a natural foundation of rock. It is now a 5 star luxury hotel - Lake Palace Oberoi Hotel Udaipur. We had dinner there and it was absolutely amazing. The only way to get there is by a 10 minute boat ride - and at night, during the 72F degree climate at night in April, it's a romantic trip. :-)
