Polling Station

Today is Polling Day in the UK for the European Parliament and Local Authority elections.
I wanted to take a photo inside to show you the super technology we use.
I was told I would need permission from the Returning Officer.
I will try next time because with postal and internet voting the days of Pencil, Plywood Booth and Tin Box are numbered.

The three ladies sitting outside are from the major parties.
They check to see who has voted and then send round the “Heavy Mob” to drag out any potential voter who is being lazy!!!!!
Thank you Ladies.

An all too familar scene for me Chris; I have spent most election days for the past 30 years dishing out ballot papers in the station - but not this year. I am a supporter of the traditional system, and it seems our Government are happy to see the spread of postal voting with the resulting chaos and corruption, rather than admit to why reality TV show voting is more compelling than doing likewise for the politicians.
