The drumming was coming from these women dressed in gauzy white garments and chanting, singing, and clapping as they danced in a circle. It seemed such a happy occasion, and the little girl decided to join in. A young man looking on, who was distantly related to the bride, told me that this is a traditional Eritrean dance, and the women are improvising funny teasing lyrics about the bridal couple.
