Our favorite moment from the visit to Washington was encountering this Codetalker in the subway. We later found out that his name is Merril Sandoval and you can read about him at http://www.lapahie.com/Merril_Sandoval_NCT.cfm . During the ceremony, CodeTalkers were singled out for the tremendous contribution they made to the war. It is particularly sad that their contribution was kept secret for decades after the war.
