This vendor guarded her recipe for her special choy yook wonton like a hawk!

This nondescript-looking stall at this food court distinguished itself with their very good choy yook wonton ("pork-vegetable dumplings, $3.25") which comes in a disposable plastic bowl with some broth. It appears only on a sign on the wall. Although we could speak Toisanese fluently with them, the vendors here did not overextend themselves with us. Even getting an extra plastic bowl and spoon was like pulling teeth. This lady was clearly suspicious that we might be out to steal her secret recipe, and curtly admitted only to the type of vegetable -- bok choy -- in her dumplings. I'm sure she would have been none too pleased had she seen my son-in-law clandestinely taking this picture of her working her top-secret mound of choy yook filling.

The other offerings on the menu looked like inexpensive, homestyle dishes. If the rest of the kitchen staff is indeed Toisanese, we should have a field day trying various dishes if we ever come back.
