Beautiful image of a maneki neko, Carlos. I love the composition, color and simplicity of it. You see these all over Japan, but I don't think I've ever seen one look so nice! Helen

Thanks for your comments, Mike. The reflective surface is a thick mirror (hence the slight distortion on the reflection), the blue background is actually an almost neutral gray wall. By tweaking the levels of the image I reached this blue tone without affecting the gold tones of the subject/reflection. Glad you liked it! Carlos Ch.
Carlos, I like the simple, minimal composition here...and the symmetry of the cat and its reflection. I'm interested in knowing what the reflective surface is...and how you achieved the blue background color? MFC
