19 APR 04 ROSEMARY

Did you know rosemary had flowers?
I didn't . .I just figured it grew & then dried up & ended up in jars

It also has tiny bugs

This is one of those days where it was down to the wire
I had to shoot a flower or bugs
So I got both
I feel soooo accomplished

=P

OK . . . . I figured it out!
This is the sin of sloth!
I was too lazy to shoot anyhting better!
THERE! I'm proud of my self for coming up with that one

Our garden is festooned with Rosemary! It's about the only thing that grows like mad, no matter what "punishment" it receives! Ours is flowering at the moment, too.
BTW - roasted new potatoes with red onion, garlic, olive oil, and roasted rosemary sprigs is also very very very scrumptious!

I'm with adalberto. Rosemary would be great with pork. I really love garlic with my potatoes, though. Pretty photo. Sloth?

What's wrong with shooting flowers and bugs? It's better than no PAD at all!

Pretty, delicate little flower. Turned out very nicely. I think Sundays are lazy days for everyone. :) At least you got a decent photo. More than I can say.

Rosemary is great with roasted pork and potatoes, in my humble opinion ;-)

I did, I have one growing. How did you get that picture, I have tried but not succeeded.

I thought the same thing, never knew it had flowers, hmmmm

LoL @ Jeanne! I have yet to smell this thing we call Rosemary...and I'll get back to you...

As much as this is a pretty little piccie, I HATE Rosemary! That's the nastiest flavor to me!! Perfect way to ruin roasted potatos if you ask me!

Not being a horticulturalist and not possessing a thumb of green, I have given VERY little thought to the origin or odors of rosemary. Pray tell Pete, is this a vine, bush, tree, or stand alone flower?

My ignorance aside it is a nice shot, and I like the bug, also.

OK, Russ . . .I'm up for a cooking challenge. Send me a recipe!

Oh, rosemary is my favorite herb! You should try my rosemary foccacia sometime! Gee, I've never kept a rosemary plant alive long enough to get flowers! LOL Too much foccacia, I guess! Nice pic!

Beautiful despite the bugs. ^_^ I so did not know either. Guess it would make sense. I bet the flowers smell wonderfully.
