Hi to Bob Felser! Was an under-age usher at the Roxy in the late 1940s. The manager was a Mr Murphy (later replaced by 'Butch" Muller). This was a dream job then for any poor kid: free movies & popcorn plus a small (tiny!) paycheck. I remember the purple uniform with gold buttons that came with the job. My partner Kevin Gore & I always enjoyed seeing Mr & Mrs Basil driving up in their push car to collect the proceeds of the week. Sometimes we would sneak a friend in through the side door behind the screen.
