Venice Rookery in Venice, FL

I was photographing Great Blue Herons and their chicks when
this lovely creature flew right down on a branch above the
water. It's a strange macro, taken with a 400mm lens. To

Jealous. They never present themselves like that around here. Usually the wings are back and they are down in the bush. I get very frustrated trying to shoot dragonflys.

Awesome!! Tell me more about this lens. Brand, max aperature, and how well does it autofocus with the 1.4tele? How true do you find the colors? I can't judge from these, not having seen the real thing.
