Apr 9: On show

We took the '64 VW to Wheels Day. We left mid afternoon, and on our arrival home, there was nowhere to park on our own driveway. So the Lurker sat outside on the pavement enjoying the sunshine. That's our house behind. Well, what do you know. A couple of hours later we were just going to go up the road to the shops, only to find our neighbours looking the little car over. We got chatting about cars and life and bits of string... We'd never even met these people before. Maybe old VW can bring world peace?

See my pictures of Wheels Day here!

And there it is in its full glory. Nice car and I love the house. Use to have a 64 bug back in 78, it was a nice little car but not a pretty as your "baby" :)

Oh and Jeanne, tell me what time your plane gets in, I'll be there in the car to pick you up. Shouts - "Linda - can you cook for three tonight?"

Larry - vegetable oil? You refine it, I'll run on it!
Jill - yes slanted - a rush shot, standing in the road, didn't want to get run down! corrected by slanting in PS (no cropping you see!)
Dawn - I know what you mean. But I can't crop, one of my personal rules! I liked the cloud and the cable's just one of those problems with reality. ;-)

This image makes me want 2 things.
1) A ride in that car.
2) A dinner in that house.

The VW is cute... and certainly deserving of a spot here... but your house is sooooo cute! I don't recall having seen an exterior shot of it before. It's adorable. (I'm much more a house person, than a car one!) :) Beautiful sky too.

*sniff* I miss my bug.... hey, idea.. the cloud is lovely and all.. but perhaps a crop right where that phone line is cutting accross the top? My eyeball keeps following it out the pic.. Sounds like you had a good day. ;D

Wow, although not a being, could this little car play the role of Joop, the Henk's philosopher dog? We all need animals, cars... not very satisfied by humans, we seem :-(

is the picture slanted or is it just me???

Good one Larry.

Finally a complete image of your VW. And to make it even the more complete, your home. And such nice cooperative weather.

I wonder if a T4 would have the same effect! Interesting association of world peace with Hitler's people's car! (Nice wheels DM)

world peace - If it ran on vegetable oil, then I say yes!!! lol

I like it a lot.
