  • This is glass that I (my Dad helped, too) collected on the beach in Germany on New Years Eve 2003. It usually sits in a glass of water on the windowsill, although, now that I dried the pieces for this shot, I think they look good when they are dry, too.

Put the glass on the lightbox, and then shot away. I actually shot (and almost submitted) this one in landscape format and had my signature vertically on the side when I thought maybe I could just rotate it. Turns out, I like that better :). Slight contrast, brightness, and clarify adjustment, cropped a tad off the top, resize, USM, signature and border added.

other sizes: small medium original auto

Love this one. The back light add nice tones and the different forms create a nice universe to explore.

Als einer deiner ländsten Verehrer möchte ich anmerken, dass ein paar von den farbigen Edelsteinen von mir gefunden wurden. Du darfst auch weiter du zu mir sagen, auch wenn ich deutsch kann. Super Foto!

I like the fact that those marbles, although far from the beach now, seem to go on floating in the waves.

Nice shot, back lighting works well and gives it good depth.

Beautiful, beautiful colors, Franziska. The softness and irridescent look is perfect

Excellent idea ... love the glow. Angela was the first to get me thinking about getting a light box ... I think your image seals the deal ... I must have one. Wonderful composition.

Pall, my parents and I were staying with my aunt in Kiel for a couple of days. The beach is about 15 minutes drive from her house, but I can't think of the name of it right now. I wusste gar nicht dass Sie deutsch sprechen :)
