Standing Tall

Someone I know had been flirting with me for a while. At his latest advance, I called his bluff. His answer was:
"I was only joking" Tonight I decided to stand tall instead of letting it get to my self esteem.
Don't Flirt With Me If You Don't Mean Business. You are wasting my time.

A doll with attitude! Cool!
Guest 05-Apr-2004 06:30
Mark, you need to shut your pie hole and leave! Typical male answer! LOL!!

Wow. The first time I saw this it must have been minutes old cause this text wasn't here. Looked then like she was walking on the top of the world. Now I see she was. I have this contrarian streak in me. Oh boy! Isn't flirting a fun way to "test the waters;" a harmless, checking things (people's attitudes, ideas, limits, etc.) out, but not having to commit to anything? And not really asking for anything but that shared flirting time? Well. Just my terrible, male chauvanist (spelling help, please) thoughts.

Don't let the b*stard get to you my friend - it's his loss, not yours - you are worth a million of him. I'm glad to see your symbolic 'act of defiance' I hope one of your friends points him at it.

Very symbolic, Lara. What is the doll standing on?
Oh yeah, Jeanne was funny here!

LOL @ Jeanne.
Seriously, men treat women like dolls, very often. But this problem has no solution. Be aware :-)

Great shot.

Very illustrative shot to go along with your story, which sounds like a tale about a scaredy-cat.
Guest 03-Apr-2004 04:58
oh, yea, I love the angle of this shot, Lara...Looks like she's on top of the world!!
Guest 03-Apr-2004 04:57

Anyway...sorry that person was a jerk.
Guest 03-Apr-2004 04:00
Nice photo, but those dolls scare the crap out of me.
Lara S03-Apr-2004 04:00
Thanks Pete Now I know a little of this doll's background.

My mother had a collection of these dolls . . .all kinds of them. She had favorites that stayed out on tables, but most were kept tucked away. I think of her when Isee these Madam Alexander dolls . .Thanks Lara
