Mar 24: Playing the blues

"When you got a good friend
that will stay right by your side
When you got a good friend
that will stay right by your side
Give her all of your spare time
love and treat her right"
from "When You Got A Good Friend" by Robert Johnson, recorded Monday 23rd November 1936, San Antonio, Texas.

That track was playing while I set this shot up. The hard part was positioning my hands as per the famous studio portrait of Robert Johnson, with my 1962 Hofner. I guess Mr Johnson must have used alternative tuning, as it sounds horrible in standard tuning... He had very strange fingers too!

Very nice lighting here.

Awesome lighting. All the more impressive that it's a self portrait.

Fantastic lighting!!! Love the composition, I can imagine how hard that must have been!! The position of the fingers on your left hand is fascinating me... looks almost painful! We cellists didn't have to go through quite the contortions that guitarists must! Wow, very impressive.

Pity about your "no-cheating-in-Photoshop" rule. You could have post processed your fingers!
