Ponte Pietra is located in Verona, north Italy.
Originary built of wood in 89 a.C. it was partly rebuilt with stone in late 1100 and finally completely rebuilt of stone in 1508.
It was destroyed by the Germans during their retreat in 1945 but it was rebuilt after the end of the war with the original stones.
