Senator Golden is a vocal advocate for the senior citizens and Asians in the 22nd district of Brooklyn, New York. He recently had a big Chinese New Year celebration for his constituents at a catering hall near his headquarters. My wife's senior center was inadvertently overlooked when the tickets were distributed, but luckily my wife was able to pull some strings to reserve 25 spaces for her colleagues.

The event was very successful, drawing hundreds of attendees who each got a nice lunch and goodie bag. There was also entertainment by a Chinese choral group from one of the other local senior centers. A good time was had by all, including the Senator!
