Thanks Larry... the glow you mention is probably because I selected the background and desaturated it about 70%. That left a yellowish white cast to the statue, but removed most of the color from the background structure. Without this step, the image didn't "pop". As is, I think it stands out better...
This is also at St Mary's Cathedral in Colorado Springs. I'll post a photo of the whole thing. The door handle in the previous photo is below this statue.
