Probably my favorite in this gallery. I love the way the arch frames the scene and the statue is staring out to the horizon...just trees and no people around, so it's lonely for him. Phil is right, the grayish subtle tones do work here very well. Love the symmetrical composition, a very even and ordered view, nothing out of order, nothing out of place.

Is Jean Cocteau film. Gives me strong feeling I am going back into old life that was mysterious and spookie. Frightening, too. Is full of feelings hard to describe. How you get this picture? You come here 5 a.m.?

I feel as I am that statue and am looking out at a city as lifeless as I am. An astonishing concept, elegantly carried off. The cool light and the absence of much color works perfectly for this idea.
