Marie is right -- this is one of your best, Carol. It is all a matter of persective. This image has three separate layers in terms of depth -- the float with its flanking lanterns, the crowd behind it, and the building behind them. It pulls the eye in and through the arch, which is surrounded by objects of brilliant primary color. Good job.

The arch framing the street scene, the red lanterns framing the image on both sides, giving a sense of symmetry, the delightful colours and light of the lotus flowers...
