This was a bridge on the road from Launceston to St Leonards, where there was a popular swimming hole on
the North Esk River. I took this picture in about 1947 (I was still at school), and hand-tinted the contact print.
I remember this bridge very well. I started school at St. Leonards in October 1935 and spent 3 years there. Our house was about 200 yards up the road towards the village. Directly opposite the entrance to the school today . Thanks for the Memory
