Workout 3.jpg

My workout was tonight. Snow started to fall heavily in New York as I walked miles to the gym under 4 feet of snow. Ok it wasn't miles, it was across from my building. It wasn't 4 feet of snow, but maybe so far an inch had accumulated. The Workout was challenging, and I am exhausted. This fuzzy picture reflects my muscles mood. They are tired. Look, I have barely enough energy to lift the remote in my hand, and click the shutter in the other. But as they say in that infamous commercial: Watching "24" after a tough workout: Priceless.

Mmmmm....24. The best show on TV that nobody seems to watch.

I wanted to take my camera into the gym but I chickened out. I was indeed self conscious about it. I did notice that it's always the same people who are there when I'm working out. So they might feel comfortable if I come next session with the camera? So stay tuned....

So you are not AT the gym here?! ;) My first thought was "seated cycling machine with TV to distract from the pain." Rest up!

Jill, people didn't even stare at me when I had a tripod in the street photographing a fire hydrant on a bitter cold morning. Maybe it's a city thing...I think if I brought a camera into the gym I'd make the revealingly clad woman nervous, but some of the guys might start posing for me! But next time they have a "best body parts" contest, I'm going to offer to shoot the winners. Last year's photos were lousy.

I have been wanting to take my camera into the gym but have felt self conscious about it...did anyone stare at you, or ask what you were doing etc?
