Related to Asters, Goldenrods and Dandelions, the Groundsel-Tree is one of only a couple members of that family of plants which have a woody stature. Sometimes referred to by locals as "saltbush", this plant can be found growing at the edge of brackish marshes and shores of the Coastal Plain.
