These beautiful little agamids are relatively common in the rainforests of parts of Queensland. (Those bits of rainforest that are still
left, of course). Nonetheless, they are difficult to see, although appear to rely almost entirely on camouflague and cryptic behaviour to
remain out of sight. They usually perch on relatively thin trunks where they have a good view of the forest floor. They are "sit and
wait" predators, scurrying down to pick up small animals that pass by. They have very sharp claws and a pugnacious disposition,
so do not attempt to pick them up.
