14-JAN-2004

14.01.2004

Had to make a trip to 'Electric Avenue' (yes really, that's what the road's called) at lunch time today and despite the fact it was a really dull and murky day over this part of Nottingham I managed to capture this as my POTD.

Canon PowerShot S400
1/400s f/2.8 at 7.4mm full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I've always been obsessed with these things. This has an almost aeronautic feel, like it's going to take off .

I gotta start paying attention...
I've been spending the last 2 years NOT shooting with power lines visable.=)
This works nicely!

Strong and powerful - well composed, and terrific in B&W

We didn't get any snow in Nottingham today David although listening to the radio on the way home it's forcast for tomorrow, great! Possible sledging on Friday??

Where's your snow Ian? Linda saw some in Birmingham, so you must have seen a bit!

Excellent choice for such a murky day. Pylons are always a good fallback!
