Chew me!
1999

to Walker Evans, who loved posters and whose style this pic recalls
(Walker, what a great name, btw)

Very well seen! Such humour. True Art because it makes us think!

Nice tribute !! (V)
It also shows there is less respect these days for good work ...
Jeanne Newman08-Dec-2007 00:21
Walker Evans would, no doubt, be more than proud...perhaps a bit envious.

this is disturbing for some reason.. i think it's because the popcorn scattered on her prone figure give the sense of cadaver - at least to me.. of some sort of disrespect for a deceased human... even if it is a poster..lol
So excellent. I like photos that make me feel something.
Guest 22-Nov-2006 07:41
I can't make up my mind whether I like it or not, but I've come back 3 times wondering what to say as there are various ways of looking at it. So I guess that's a vote!

"When love and skill work together, expect a masterpiece" - Bravo Adal!

Bubble Gum Pop-Art...LOL!!I'm wondering if it's your chewy ;-))K
Eckhart Derschmidt20-Nov-2006 11:58
Excellent! Chewing-gum does not only look silly while in use (human ruminants), it is also a nuisance when the flavour is gone (well, by sticking it on the poster one at least cannot step into it). Also tells a lot about male fantasies....
Guest 11-Oct-2006 15:54
I need a place to stick my gum....

I find nothing disturbing about this photo. It is truly artistic in texture and contrast. Keep up the good work!
Jude Marion04-Aug-2004 02:44
I like this image, and yes it is a bit disturbing but, in a way, humourous. It reminds me of the Dadaist movement with their anti-aesthetic creations and protests. One image that comes to mind is MArcel Duchamps "Mona Lisa" with a moustache!

Originale.....ma è vero, inquietante e triste allo stesso tempo.Anna

This picture is amazing and in a way beautiful, but it makes me feel too sad, I don't know why...
