Stair-1

Morelia, Michoacan, México

A grande colonial staircase in the finer sense.
Notice that there aren't any intermediate landings and
how the steps and railings have such a lovely flow against the powerful murals.
The building's walls and ceilings are covered with murals depicting highlights
of the history of Mexico, painted by Michoacan artist, Alfredo Zalce.

Fantastic staircase. With no intermediate landing where the steps flows together the visual impression is very organic. This staircase could be inspired from the Spanish architect Gaudi. It is a place where it is difficult to get the right angel. Well done. v.

Just discovered this one, so glad I did! Also discovered or maybe re-descovered that we share a common profession. I love taking pictures of interesting staircases, but this one really takes the biscuit!

Wonderful composition, love the uncertainty of the curves and horizon. The strong emotion on the mural reinforces this feeling.

you have quite an eye for composition. I bet a lot of people would just wallk down these stairs and not see the shapes and lines that you have :)

I love the way this draws the viewer into the scene. In a way it seems like a sort of photographic equivalent of the art of M.C. Escher.
