20th November 2003

Walking in London is a sore point!

As you have seen I had two days in London on my own and then yesterday we both went up as Adrienne had a day off.
We went to the Victoria and Albert Museum. In the morning we saw the Zoomorphic exhibition which was about animal influence on achitecture.(Patrick's photos on the Milwaukee Art Museum were better than anything at the exhibition).
Lunch at the Rembrandt Hotel opposite the museum.
In the afternoon a preview of the V&A's new Picture Galleries. Lovely.
In the evening we went to the theatre and saw David Hare's "The Secret Rapture" with Jenny Seagrove, Belinda Lang and Peter Egan. We enjoyed some first class acting and a clever story.
The day ended with a slow journey home. Bearing in mind that Peter was on duty we had expected the train to be fast to Harpenden!!!

Three days on my feet and they are quietly singing.

Cute "tootsie still life," Chris. :) Sounds like you had quite a time in London. Good for you! Hope your feet are enjoying some much needed "R&R."

This is really good, though! Illustrates your point rather well!
