Like shimmering ice, this abstraction represents the sterility of organizational life, punctuated by a gaping black hole in its heart. "Office Madness?" Perhaps. I think it also answers a question once put to me by a long-dead PR guy at Mobil. He asked me if I believed that a corporation could have a soul? To me, the phrase "Corporate Soul" is an oxymoron. This picture says that eloquently. That's what the black hole means to me. The place where the soul should be --but its not.
