I was told and it's my understanding that the modifications to the 'roll-bar' were in fact added later on to meet compliance requirement for an event.
The GT roll-bar installed in the car is all correct and who ever was responsible for implementing the additional modifications to the roll-bar, did in fact an 'outstanding' job. If I had much better photos of the roll-bar modifications, I would seriously consider implementing them myself in my GT. It would be interesting to see additional photos of how the rear trunk lid was modified to clear the tubes. I wonder if the rear trunk lid is the correct factory fiberglass 914-6 GT piece like this one herehttp://www.pbase.com/9146gt/image/22321288 -

Also theres is a bar coming out of the trunk, thats not original is it?
