A Face in the Crowd

....and no photoshop. Just 100 card cutouts (plus 1 of me) created on my printer, stood on my kitchen worktop. Shot at iso800 due to poor kitchen lights!

Magnificent. This photo will be a constant reminder for me to think differently. Brilliant concept and superbly executed. Love it.

Hi ISO3200! Yes, I can see what you mean. In a sense you stand out from the crowd in this image and that makes you an individual, but kind of an anonymous individual. It is you, but it could just as well have been anybody else standing there in flesh. Like I said, there's nothing wrong with the photograph (I even called it art, and I still mean that), it is just not very revealing of your personality. Gosh, that sounds harsh! I'm knocking down on one of the most creative submissions in the whole gallery, but it is only because you are so talented, that I'm allowing myself to go there. It is not a simple thing to do in a photograph - revealing personal character. I couldn't even do it myself! When I think more about it, In one way it does show some of your character: It shows just how creative you are! It reveals the artist in you!

Hi Olaf. Whilst I can see exactly what you are saying, I am indeed a face in the crowd, does this picture not show how unique and individual I am compared to the rest of them though?

Very original idea and very well carried out! It's a very good and interesting photograph with a theme. My one reservation would be that as a self-portrait, the theme is self-defeating: ideally a portrait should reveal some of the individual personality and uniqueness of the subject, in this case yourself. Instead, here you are "a face in the crowd". But as I said: a very good and interesting photograph with a theme. It's art in my opinion!

iso: Inventive, way outta the box image. As noted prior, well done on all points. Would make a great album cover (particularly since your image here favors David Byrne). Awesome. --Joe

Wow, now this is creative and no Photoshop! You should get an "A" just for all the work you did just to set this up. Well done! I really like your style iso!

Just awesome! I don't think it would have mattered where you placed yourself (so to speak)in this one, IS03200, you'd still stand out in the crowd :-) I love the shadows, the imperfect positioning of each stick figures and, the angle in which you shot this.
Thank you for sharing this with us. Mark J

Better clarify myself I guess! No photoshop used for composition! Just the usual Post processing - colour, crop and resize
