Here we have the mature form of Ravenel's Stinkhorn. Notice that the stipe/cap is hollow all the way up through to the apex of the head (all the better for encouraging easy access to the gooey gleba)! Notice, too, all the insects who came to dine. And as you can see, Phallus ravenelii is found on wood chips, wood debris, decaying stumps, etc.
