My father, Ronald Dakin Sr. was born in this lighthouse on December 16, 1907. His father, Lloyd Dakin, my grandfather, was the lighthouse keeper at this time. The lighthouse is located on Grand Manan Island in the Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick, Canada. My father passed away in 1998 at the age of 90.
