Maybe in this case it's better to see the humor in an over-zealous rent-a-cop! Besides, what a great story this kid had to tell the others at school on Monday! Simplistic? Maybe, but still humorous.
I side with the Dec 12 Guest. Not to belittle the danger, but there is a difference between acting responsibly and simply reacting. In a climate where policies play upon fears it is easier to keep the public huddled together with their heads down, accepting of whatever we are told that will "keep us safe" -- that is the most dire threat to freedom. They pull my 95-year-old grandmother out of line every single time, too, and she can barely stand up without assistance. On that note I will close; I feel a rant coming on.

You know, there are sickos out there that would use a child in some sort of terrorist plot. Unfortunately, that IS the world we live in and we cant be blind to it. Blame the terrorists!
