Santa Fe 6635K1

Enid, Oklahoma

The 6635K1 train, a 120-car Union Equity grain train, moving on the Enid District enroute to Houston. Eighty cars behind the lead locomotives are radio controlled C30-7 helpers #8055 and #8139. The train had C30-7 locomotives #8140, #8118 and #8027 at the headend, and waycar #999248 at the rear.

Thirty minutes after this photograph the train was involved in a tragic accident. As the train passed through Marshall, Oklahoma, at 45 m.p.h., it struck a car which failed to stop at a road crossing. A family enroute to a local football game were killed.
